Welcome to Christ Church of Old Frontenac! Our Episcopal church was built in the historic village of Frontenac, Minnesota in 1868. Our beautiful location on the eastern shore of Lake Pepin has incredible views of the bluffs, complete with an outdoor amphitheater. You will feel God’s peace here!

Christ Church is small, but mighty. Our relaxed and gracious congregation represents all ages and backgrounds, with an active interest in our community. We strive to make this a true church home where all are welcome and can be filled with the Holy Spirit. We encourage visitors to join us anytime for our uplifting and spiritual worship services and community events!

Worship with Us

Join us each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for a vibrant hour of worship. A typical worship service includes traditional and contemporary music along with meaningful sermons that bring God’s word into present day life. The Eucharist is celebrated every Sunday. Additionally, we also conduct inspirational holiday and healing Services to deepen your faith.

In the Spring, Summer and Fall months, (weather permitting) we worship in our beautiful Wakondiota Hillside Chapel. It is awesome!

Pastoral Care

Supporting one another through life’s ups and downs is a central part of being together as the body of Christ. Clergy and laity at Christ Episcopal Church share the responsibility for pastoral care. It sometimes comes from a group organized for a particular purpose; sometimes it’s simply a telephone call, a note, a visit, or a meal. The Vicar can also bring communion to those who are unable to come to church and can visit the hospital when needed. In Service to All

At the heart of Christ Church is Jesus’ example to serve one another. For that reason, we strive to find those in need, whether within our community or on a global level, and provide care. No matter how big or small the need is, our congregation feels a strong call to help the less fortunate.

There are also additional opportunities to serve within our church. Whether it’s helping with a worship service as a reader, or providing leadership on a committee, all are welcome to assist.
